Shrewsbury has its own university!

The first undergraduates will attend courses at the university in September 2015.

The town council is currently looking at accommodation sites for students and one of the sites proposed is the old prison site at eh Dana near the railway station, when it is refurbished.
The Guildhall is also going to be converted into university premises for teaching purposes while Rowley’s House will be used for administration.
It is exciting news for Shrewsbury and a good development for the town.
